Anaga Biosphere Reserve
Visit Anaga Biosphere Reserve: Laurisilva forest, beaches and km0 gastronomy
Anaga is considered to be Tenerife's best kept secret because it has a thousand-year-old laurel forest and preserves customs typical of the archipelago.
We will begin our adventure with an introduction to the area at one of the most outstanding viewpoints of th massif: the Jardina viewpoint. From there we will be able to understand the formation of the place and its history. Afterwards, we will go to the area with the greatest endemic diversity in Europe, Cruz del Carmen, where we will be able to taste some typical products of the island and the area.
Afterwards, a short walk through the Laurisilva forest to learn about the main species of vegetation that inhabit the area, their uses and health properties. Afterwards, we will continue our itinerary to the coast. Before arriving, we stop at several points of interest with unparalleled views of the ravines of the area, highlighting Pico del Inglés or Bailadero.
Once on the coast, we can enjoy a stroll along the black sandy beaches of the area, among them, the most outstanding, Benijo beach. Finally, we will leave a good taste in our mouths with a menu near the sea.
